近日又重温Led Zeppelin，陶醉于《No Quarter》之中。Led Zeppelin在其鼎盛期失去了它的鼓手John Bonham，乐队宁愿解散也不再寻找新的鼓手，过了10多年，乐队的核心Jimmy Page和Robert Plant还专门聚在一起出了一张名为《No Quarter》的专辑，意思是“四个角的桌子已经永远缺了一角”，以此回答那些痴心等待他们复合的歌迷们。（出处）这张专辑《No Quarter》是1994年出的，但歌曲《No Quarter》早在1973年的专辑《Houses of the Holy》里已出现，当时鼓手John Bonham依然健在（1980年死于酗酒后的呕吐物窒息），所以“No Quarter”一名至少在一开始是当然没有悼念队友含义的。至于它的本意是什么，我还拿不准，虽然说听得很感动，但陶醉的只是音乐，从来就不会先听歌词，回头看到的也只是字面上的意义。有哪位能揣摩出一二的请指教，Led Zeppelin的主题常牵涉到神秘主义确实不好懂。

这首歌曲有多个版本，并不都适合晚上睡觉听。与专辑《No Quarter》那个被DJ搞过的版本相比，这里选的1973年专辑的版本要好太多了。这样的音乐真是绕梁三日，说是迷幻和神秘太笼统，说是笑看风云觉得不贴切，说是在苍凉中淡淡的愁绪又觉得不完全是那个味儿，说是曾经沧海还是觉得不够贴切，一定是关于回忆的？也许，它只是在那儿一直萦绕着你，让你禁不住去咀嚼品尝，然后沉醉。

John Bonham是一位多么才华横溢、感情细腻的鼓手啊~~听听让人沉醉的《Since I've Been Loving You》，或者Led Zeppelin其他随便一首曲子，都会知道为什么没了他乐队就一定会解散。正如led-zeppelin.com对他的介绍所言，他是The Power Behind the Magic。
